Headlight Restoration Kit, G1900

A clear plastic polishing kit, targeting the latest generation plastic headlight Lenses but, quite frankly, is excellent for any hard clear plastic surface.  The kit includes the following:

• a 3" 50/50 Polyester & wool pad mounted on a 1/4" shaft for use in a drill, any other drill chuck or 1/4" collet
• A bottle of PlastX
• A microfiber cloth

Remember, just polishing out a clear plastic is not the final step.  You MUST protect the plastic after the process.  The reason it took years before your headlights started yellowing and hazing over, was the factory supplied coating on the surface that eventually wore away to expose the plastic.  Once exposed, THEN it started to degrade.  The final step MUST be to replace the coating.  A good temporary coating can simple be a coating of Carnauba wax (Harly, Meguiars M2611); M21, Synthetic Sealant or a clear paint.  Dr. Detail is soon introduce a wipe-on coating which closely simulates the original.
