The latest batch of new cars all come with plastic headlight lenses and covers.  They are coated to protect them from road debris and the weather, however, eventually the coating goes away and the plastic is exposed to atmospheric moisture and it begins to degrade.  The resulting oxidation leaves a haze and UV damage which yellows the lens as the plastic degrades.  Meguiar's® Headlight and Clear Plastic Restoration Kit restores like-new clarity to cloudy, scratched, oxidized and yellowed, uncoated plastic surfaces.

Meguiar's unique PlastX formula works in concert with their unique buffing pad and your drill to safely deliver amazing results in just minutes! No sanding is required which can damage the plastic and the surrounding paint and trim. This Restoration Kit effectively leaves plastics brilliantly clear and polished allowing all the light produced by the bulb to illuminate the road.

This kit can be used on headlights, brake lights, plastic convertible windows, motorcycle windscreens, helmet face shields, boat windows and more!

Kit Includes:

  • PlastX (Hard Plastic Polish)
  • Easy Buff Pad (which provides the abrasion necessary at the start of the process)
  • Microfiber Towel (to wipe down the waste excess polish when the job is done.)

    Dr. Detail recomends that you finish with a final pass by hand using the PlastX and a soft clean cloth to get the very best finish.  For longevity it is a must to recoat the now-clean plastic.  Basic protection can be had from any pure paste wax but the best result can be expected with an application of Meguiars Polymer Sealant M21(16) which leaves an additional layer of polymer on the surface.
