Aggressive Clay, C2100, 200g bar by Meguiars

Now you can get a truly clean surface before you glaze and wax without resorting to abrasives with the revolutionary clay bar.

 Always wash your paint before using a clay bar.  Meguiars M62, Professional Car Wash Shampoo or M126, NXT Shampoo are excellent choices.  However, when you wash your paint you only remove water soluble materials.  What about the road tar, grease, tree sap, rail dust, hard water deposits, etc. which soapy water can't dissolve and remove?  That's what a clay bar is all about.  It will remove all the non-water soluble paint contaminants.  Safe to use on all paint, glass, chrome, plastic, etc.

 This 200 gram "aggressive" bar, the industry's standard size, is designed to pull absoluetly any contaminant off your car's paint surface. It's tackier, and therefore more aggressive, than the general purpose bars like Meguiars C2000 or Blue Clay.  It will overpower the tackiness of the contaminant but will NOT remove oxidation because it is not abrasive. You need an abrasive cleaner for that. See Meguiars M02 Fine Cut Cleaner, etc., under "Compounds/Cleaner".  

A lubricant, like Meguiars M34, Final Inspection or any other mist & wipe, must be used with any clay bar.  The bar uses tackiness to do the work and the paint must be lubricated or the bar will drag.  Soapy water will lubricate but will tend to degrade the clay bar and shorten it's life.

Use only 1/4 bar at a time.  Flatten it out then lubricate a section of the paint about 12" x 12" and rub the clay through that area as if washing it.  No significant pressure is required, just let the bar work.  You'll hear a "Shhh-ing" sound as the bar pulls off debris.  As the paint cleans up the sound diminishes.  When you're done the paint will be so clean it'll feel warm ... and the bar will be dirty!  Fold the bar over and "pancake" it back out again then repeat the process overlapping the first 12" x 12" area.  Enjoy!
